Honeymoon 2012

This blog post is going back to March 8th through the 17th. Only 10 days after getting home from Nicaragua, Andy and I took off and went on our Honeymoon. We have been married for 7 months now. So where did we go? All the way to Fiji. Approximately a 4 hour flight to California where we literally almost ran into Ice Cube. Then took a 10 hour flight to Nadi Fiji (once we left California, we never crossed land until we landed in Fiji). Once in Fiji we took a hour cab ride to where we would leave on the boat and then hopped on a 5 hour boat ride to our first island adventure at Coralview.

So how did we pick Fiji? We wanted to go to one place that we may never go back to being it was our honeymoon. When we were in Belize, we met an Australian couple who were traveling the world. We kept in contact with them and asked them where there favorite place was. Fiji was there answer. So, that's where we went.

It was quite incredible. It was like we were on the discovery show. The beauty of Fiji was unlike anything. The people were awesome, so welcoming, loving, caring, and nice. The food was great. Andy and I booked a back packers deal. We stayed in little hut/cabins. The first place that we stayed was called Coralview. Our little house was great (once again we never had warm showers, which is great). This islands were laid back. We snorkeled at a place called the Blue Lagoon. This is where the original movie the blue lagoon was filmed. The snorkeling in Fiji was amazing. We didn't even know snorkeling like this existed. One of our days snorkeling we were literally swimming with thousands of fish. The colors and the coral were out of this world. We even saw two shark's (Yikes). We also saw little jellyfish (they did sting us) and we also saw huge beautiful jellyfish (it was like we were in Finding Nemo). Speaking of Finding Nemo, we learned that clown fish are quite brave. I am sure if they were bigger the would attack. Here is a list of adventures that we did while in Fiji.

That list pretty much sums up our trip. I must say (and I speak for both of us), it was an incredible time. We loved every moment and look forward to our next Island adventure. I will post some of my favorite pictures, although there are quite a few pictures so next time you visit with us be sure to ask to see all of them.
