| Favorite Place. Me with the Snow Ghost! |
After the wedding I came home, worked for 3 days, re-packed my unpacked suitcase from Minnesota, and headed to West Yellowstone. My dad and his buddy Steve came out and we enjoyed 4 days of riding in West Yellowstone. Let me talk about this crazy little town for a minute. I think my dad has more friends than I do their now. This town is one of my favorite little places. It is like a second family to me. I love the people there, the town, and the craziness it holds. If it were possible for Andy and I to live there, we would buy that little cabin way in the woods, call it home, and enjoy the beauty, fun, never-a-dull moment, crazy times, this little town has to offer. It is great. West Yellowstone is part of the reason I made it out here to Montana. I remember going here all the time as a kid. I remember then thinking "this place is amazing (I hadn't even met one local back then)." The beauty of it was breath taking, still is, every time I am there I am amazed at how beautiful it is. I think I knew back then that this is where I would end up.
Montana. Now my dad comes out here a couple times a year to ride snowmobiles. He absolutely loves it. I must say he does pretty good. Even though this trip consisted of more trail riding than I have done since I was about 14, I still enjoyed every moment. It was beautiful, even with lack of snow. We did take Steve on one back country adventure, and that was enough for him (I would like to say that it was the POS sled that did him in). We did our annual trip to Two-Top (my favorite), went into Lions Head (barely) where had a fire and cooked Fajitas (thanks to Jake), and then did some more trail riding. Fun had by all. I really cherish those moments.
