| My skis with Klyde's little paw print! |

Sometimes on days like I had today, I feel so thankful and so blessed for my life. Yes, the pictures that go with this post are taken pretty much right from my back yard. Andy and I decided to spend our Sunday funday (03/04/12) out cross-country skiing. This is usually our last choice over snowboarding and snowmobiling. But, since I got off work at 3:30 am on Sunday morning, let's just say there was no way for me to be snowboarding or snowmobiling. So, we decided to cross-country ski instead. I am not sure who thought this was a easy sport- it's not, and it's quite dangerous. Either way, when Andy and I venture out for a cross country ski day, there are bound to be lots of laughs (due to some awesome wipe outs). We enjoy cross-country skiing because we can take the dog(s). Usually it is just Maddie who comes, she loves to roll around in the snow like a seal. But on this trip, for some reason Klyde showed quite a bit of interest in going with, So I let him! He ran and ran like a wild man. Andy says he is going to sleep until we get home from Fiji (yes, we are going there soon- for our Honeymoon!). All in all this past Sunday was a blast with lots of laughs. Also, I skipped a post here. I recently went to Nicaragua for school. I got back last Monday, February 27. I was gone for 10 days, it was a trip that changed my life. I plan to blog about it and post some pictures, right now I am still reflecting and still have a heavy heart. I don't even know where to begin with Nicaragua. I will just say that I feel completely blessed. I am thankful to myself for making me go and thankful to Andy for the encouragement that he gave me for this trip. Words cannot explain the experience that I had, It was truly life changing. I have learned to take a step back in life, be thankful for the little things in my life (my simple little life), and to really consider the necessary vs. the unnecessary in every part of my life. I encourage/challenge you all to do the same. Stay tune for the Nica blog.
