Jon Wayne.

I must say that our lives have been busy-busy and on-the-go. I am still trying to play catch up here on our blog, that is my goal this week. Or wait, I think I am suppose to being doing school work- oh yeah that's right! Anyways I am updating this blog from back on the weekend of January 20-22. It was a great weekend, first cause there was finally some P-O-W-D-E-R, and next because it was a great weekend with friends, snowmobiling, and snowboarding. Geesh, all that in one weekend? Yes-needless to say I was wore out come Monday morning. Friday night Andy and I headed to Big Sky and stayed with our friends the Giljes. Saturday morning we woke up and the two of us went snowmobiling in Taylor Fork, the snow was great. That night we watch our friends (Andy's buddy from high school) Jon Wayne and the Pain play at big sky resort. We actually watched them both Friday and Saturday-oh wait, I forgot we watched them on Thursday night at The Zebra in Bozeman- No wonder I was so tired. Jon did say we got the Montana Fan award. I think we deserve the JWP award in general, it seems I am always making a stop to see these guys. But, they are awesome and so fun to see and hang out with. On Sunday we went snowboarding with Jon and their opening guy Ben. Lets just say there were lots of laughs to be had by all. Quote of the weekend: Ben (to Jon): You should write a song in Australian!! Jon (with a dumbfounded look on his face): That's F-ing English Dude!! Hilarious. Overall a great weekend.

Snow! Finally Frosty Came!

From Bozeman, who would know that out there somewhere in Montana the snow is deep. I must say I was beginning to lose my winter enthusiasm (yes me!) but, this past weekend redeemed itself. The snow was incredible. DEEP! Snowmobiling was great (bottomless and dangerous) but it was great to be in some amazing pow. Snowboarding was also awesome as in snowed over 12" at Big Sky. It's really no where near what the weather man predicted but hey, it's powder and I am excited!! Keep it coming!
GLORIOUS!

Andy and his Bro!

Andy's brother decided he wanted to spend his bachelor party out here in Montana at Big Sky. Andy put together a weekend and Brian and some of his friends came out to Montana to ski, hang out, and party...or maybe just party lots. Here are some pictures that Andy took. We will be heading back to Minnesota for Brian and Autumn's wedding on January 28th.
What a view! Incredible!

The Little Things!

Here is a picture of the view from up at moonlight resort. It was really beautiful. Andy was up here the weekend of January 6-7, 2012 for his brother Brain's bachelor party (pictures to come).
Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Happy New Year!

Ahh, to be back in Montana, the simple life. I made it home from Minnesota, when I left I really had no idea how I was going to get home. Not quite sure I will ever understand the reason behind airline agencies charging as much as they do for a flight from Bozeman to Minnesota or vice versa, nor why they feel the need for the outrageous layovers. My one way ticket was around $650 or I could of had a ticket for approximately $400 with a 10-19 hour layover. Instead I choose what people say "everyone should do once," the bus. It was quite an experience but all-in-all not so bad. I actually got to relax, read, sleep etc. vs drive. When I got off the bus Andy said "you stink like a bus, please shower."
Andy and I had made New Years plans for the weekend. We went to Driggs, Idaho, stayed at Teton Valley Cabins, snowboarded Grand Targhee, and snowmobiled horse shoe canyon one day. It was a great get away. We have been here before and we love it. New years was pretty uneventful, I didn't even make it til midnight (I am old). We attempt to go to town or back up to the ski lodge but instead resorted to our little cabin and watched the Red Bull New Years/No Limit Jump made my Levi Lavalle and Robbie Maddison. So did we make New years Resolutions? Not really. But here are some of  mine?

Small Avalanche. Not were I want to be ever!

Andy enjoying life on the first day of the new year. Look at the view!

Pray for Snow.

So our last adventure for Ron and Carolyn was a snowmobile trip up to Two Top Mountain. This is one of my favorite places. I am not sure why as it is a simple, enjoyable trail ride to the top of the mountain, with an amazing view. I think this place is one of my favorites cause as a kid this is where my dad and his friend Mark would always take us. This was our first stop of our trip out west. We still to this day make it a annual stop, it's incredible.  When Andy and I first got engaged I told him this is where I wanted to get married. I actually wanted to have a mini ceremony up on two top and then do our wedding as plan. Ron got to experience a bit of the "west side" riding. Although it wasn't to intense, not much back country, and snow conditions were LIMITED (Frosty you can come any time). We had a blast. We went about 40 miles, and all I will say is we could of done without the last 15 (sorry Carolyn). Andy and I are patiently waiting for the snow gods to dump, this winter has been very conservative to say the least.
Ron was ecstatic!

I have never seen the trees so bare, where are the Snow Ghost? Please come Frosty!!

Look at the view behind Ron, So beautiful!

Good looking family!

I think Ron is thinking "What am I getting myself into?"

Our family for now. Klyde is missing as he would be one big snowball!

I have to back track a day, I skipped our adventure that we had on December 23, 2011. One of the activities that we had planned while Ron & Carolyn were here was to go cross-country skiing. Yes, Andy and I will do cross-country skiing, although it is 3rd on our list. It is really fun to get out, take the dogs with, and it is quite peaceful. Ron and Carolyn loved it, well more Carolyn, Ron really loved the events that took place on Sunday (post coming). The snow conditions were great on this day that we went. I actually heard Andy say "I think I am going to have to get a cross-country ski set up this year." Enjoy!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

December 24 Continued...As I read back through some of the past blogs I realize that my grammar isn't the greatest (oh- wait I already knew that), I probably use too many commas, and my spelling isn't the greatest. Too bad, deal with it. J/K, that's why I am still in school- too get smarter and improve my writing skills! Or, that's why I have this blog. Despite the bad news that was received (I actually started to spell 'recieve' wrong, "i" before "e" except after "c") we continued on with Christmas.
This is my favorite picture, I love my goggles. Andy knows me so well!
Christmas was Wonderful, I love this time of year. I was a lucky gal and received some great gifts. My favorite....The remote car started... So excited! I also got some sweet new goggles, warm fun socks (my mom always taught me "you can't have a bad day if you have fun socks on," it really is true), jeans, earrings. I was spoiled I think. Andy also got goggles, warm socks, under armor (we both did). We both received gifts for us and for the house, and our dogs got new beds and new toys. Christmas was a blast. We are so glad that Ron and Carolyn made the drive to Montana to have a Montana Christmas with us, I am pretty sure that after Sunday Ron didn't want to leave. Oh, and Santa came that night also. Yes- He is real! Hope every one had a very Merry Christmas and spent it with there loved ones.

Maddie Loves her new bed!

How cute is he? He loves his bed, wonder if it will get used?

Great Picture! Ron & Carolyn and Miss Abby!

Simple Man...

Again, I am still catching up. A co-worker of mine showed me all the cool changes you can make to your blog, lets just say you could spend hours on here. Oh-well it is one of my New Years resolutions (I didn't make many), to keep up-to-date with blogging our life. I really can't remember anything, blame it on night shift, or that I am 30, or early Alzheimer's, either way I want to remember my/our life. So I guess I left off right around Christmas, as I said Andy's parents came out and we had a great time all things consider. On December 24, I remember getting ready to have some lunch, I looked at my phone and I have a missed call from my dad and a text that says "Call me ASAP." I call him and the first thing he says is "I have some really bad news," not the phone call you want to get ever. He then proceeded to tell me that my cousin Justin was in a car accident near St. Cloud, MN and did not survive. I was suppose to work this night (Christmas Eve) and let me just say how thankful I am for the amazing department I work for and the wonderful co-workers I have (they gave me the night off without question). I knew I would be making the trip back to Minnesota for the funeral, I had too. The last memory I have of Justin is my wedding. He made it and he put in every bit of effort to get there. He didn't make the wedding ceremony (he got lost, stuck in traffic, all the above), I remember thinking "typical" (in a good way, isn't it always something). Then I remember getting to the boat, and someone saying "Justin is almost here." Well, we couldn't wait, so we left. Then the next thing I know Justin is on the boat, How? Well the boat ran out of liquor (I know shocking) and we had to stop for a restock, a little boat joined up to our boat with liquor and with Justin and his buddy! He put in great effort to be at our Wedding, I knew I would give back the same effort, Unfortunately under much different circumstances!
I rode home to Fargo with Andy's parents, thanks to my sister for picking me up. I am really glad I made that decision to go home and be with my family and say good-bye. All-in-all, it was a great service for Justin. Lots of people attend the wake, and the funeral was good. We learn to celebrate someones life even in the hardest of circumstances. I know this is what Justin would of wanted. He lived a simple life, and was a simple man, just like the song which was played at his funeral. Oh and his best friend Brent gave the best speech ever (Justin was Brent's best man). Yes Justin, you are now forever "riding shot-gun."  Justin was just 29 years old, he had just celebrated his birthday on December 14. He had bought a house, had a fiance, went back to school, found a new interest and built a relationship with his son Dominick who is 11 years old, and due on January 21, 2012 we will welcome his daughter "Justina" into this world.
It's unfortunate events like this that make you take a step back in life and appreciate the simple things. You re-evaluate what is important. You take that extra moment to say "I love you," and maybe what you thought was a priority no longer is. Take the time to say "I love you," and don't lose sight of what is important in life. Life is too short!

Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy - unknown
Back in the day, well about 8 years ago! So glad I did this. (I believe there are 9 more to add to this photo now!)

Dashing Through The Snow...

Ok, I am going to play catch-up. Even though I have been done with school (for the semester), I haven't found any extra time to post updates to our blog. I will start with December 22, 2011. Andy's parents Ron and Carolyn came to Bozeman for Christmas. We had lots of plans and kept them quite busy, they definitely enjoyed their first Montana Christmas. Here is some pics from our first event that we did, we went up to Lone Mountain Ranch and took them on a sleigh ride dinner. Two years ago Andy and I did this for our One year Anniversary (dating) and we loved it, Ron and Carolyn loved it too.  We had a great dinner, listened to cowboy music and poetry, and sang Christmas song on the sleigh ride back. Oh, and we drank some wine. Overall a great time.  More post to come...

Still married! Longer than 72 days! (We had the Same wedding Date as Kim K.) I was actually taking a pic of my cool Christmas nails.
